As you said, Leon, you don’t understand what Diane is saying and you should just leave it at that. It’s obvious from your poorly written and illogical comments.

They’re fine with an admissions policy which shunts aside better qualified Asian candidates in favor of less qualified black students, though they would decry it as “systemic racism” if the races were swapped.

I don't understand what you are saying. You are making highly racist remarks about African-american. True Alison comments were aggressive but to spend 8 million on a recall and then say that placing African-american students is taking opportunities away from asians is very racist. You have no clue to that statement. One black eye does not deserve another.

Did the board try to change RASOTA’s admissions to admit more Asian students? No. Selectively targeting merit-based admissions only when it means decreasing Asian enrollment is clearly anti-Asian

meritocracy is a fantasy in this country. sorry to bust your bubble. A and B don't show the student true skills. We need to go beyond grades. There needs to be changes to merit based admissions because we truly need a system where all students get access to supposedly Lowell academics at all schools. Brown vs Board of Education was never fully implemented so we still battling for the small resources that is given to us by the government and low tax rates due to Prop. 13. A education system where ALL students are thriving regardless of economic and racial disparities will benefits all students. From an A AP student to F student at a continuation school need to feel like they are benefiting from school at the maximum level.
